Camera, Media, Augmented Reality and AI Feature Notice

Version 1.1Updated 9 min read

Effective date: From the first publication of this version on b2b.scrolling.in, subject to the notice and existing-Order protections in the Marketplace Terms.

Conditional scope: This Notice applies only to a media, camera, microphone, augmented-reality or AI feature actually offered on Burbn B2B. It does not represent that B2B currently includes a camera-effects provider, face processing, voice cloning, a generative tool or any particular integration.

1. Purpose and relationship to other policies

Optional media features may support product photographs, demonstrations, document uploads, visual search, translation, assisted descriptions, video communication or product visualisation. Each enabled feature must explain what it does and what data it needs at the point of use.

The operator is Burbn Inc., identified in the Marketplace Terms. The Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Intellectual Property Policy continue to govern their respective subjects. A feature notice adds specific information; it does not remove the protections in those documents.

2. Information shown before activation

Before a feature needs a new permission or optional data use, its notice should identify the purpose, data categories, whether processing occurs on the device or a server, the provider where relevant, intended recipients, retention, any material international access and the available controls.

If a feature relies on a third-party SDK or service, identify the actual provider and relevant terms. A provider used by the retail scrolling.in service is not automatically the provider for B2B. Do not describe processing as wholly on-device, transient, anonymous or unavailable to Burbn unless the implementation supports that statement.

Refusing an optional camera, microphone or AI feature does not remove an unrelated Order or refund entitlement. Where suitable, use an existing file upload, written specification or other available route for the task. A feature that genuinely needs a permission may be unavailable if that permission is refused.

3. Camera, microphone and file permissions

Camera and microphone access must follow the device or browser permission process and be limited to the activated purpose. Opening a product page or accepting the marketplace Terms does not by itself authorise recording. A user should be able to stop the feature and revoke the permission through the device or browser controls.

Access to one selected file does not authorise access to the entire photo library or device storage. Choose only the documents needed for the transaction. Avoid including identity documents, other customers' information, unrelated people, payment credentials or confidential material in the background.

Device permission, upload and publication are separate steps. A preview should not become a public listing merely because the camera was opened. The intended audience must be clear before sharing or publication.

4. Processing, uploads and media recipients

Depending on the enabled feature, processing may involve pixels, audio, a selected document, extracted text, product attributes, technical metadata and the prompt or instructions supplied. The feature-specific notice must distinguish data used transiently from data uploaded or retained.

Uploaded content may be accessible to the selected Buyer or Supplier and authorised service personnel for the disclosed purpose. Private project media must not be described as publicly available content. If an external processing provider receives the material, apply the appropriate purpose, confidentiality, security and deletion restrictions.

Location metadata, embedded device identifiers or unrelated background information should be removed when unnecessary. A product image used in a claim may be retained as evidence under the applicable Order or grievance record schedule even after the optional editing session ends; explain that separate reason.

5. People, biometric information and recordings

Obtain the necessary permission to record or share identifiable people and respect confidentiality at factories, offices and private premises. A person's appearance in a public-facing role is not unlimited consent to use their voice or likeness in advertising or generated content.

Image landmarks or measurements can be sensitive in context. If an enabled feature creates biometric identifiers, undertakes identity recognition or processes sensitive personal information, provide the specific lawful notice, consent and safeguards required for that use. A generic camera permission is not a blanket biometric-consent form.

Do not record a private call, meeting or inspection without the required notice and lawful authority. Before an optional recording begins, identify the recording, recipients and purpose. This Notice does not create an always-on recording feature or permission for covert surveillance.

6. Augmented reality and visualisation limits

An AR overlay, render or visual preview may be illustrative. It cannot establish exact dimensions, fit, colour, strength, compatibility, certification or output unless the particular measurement or claim is supported by an expressly agreed technical process.

Use the final specification, drawings, approved sample and agreed acceptance method for procurement. Check measurements and safety-critical decisions independently where appropriate. An illustrative disclaimer does not excuse a materially false product claim or a feature falsely presented as a calibrated measurement tool.

Use the feature in a safe environment. Do not operate machinery or enter a hazardous area merely to obtain an AR view, photograph or demonstration. Product and workplace safety instructions continue to apply.

7. AI-generated text, translation and recommendations

AI may assist with translation, search, matching, summaries, descriptions or draft responses where the feature is offered. Outputs can omit qualifications, misread units, confuse models, invent references or produce an inaccurate translation.

Review technical claims, quantities, currencies, tolerances, certificates, dates and contractual language before use. A generated output does not form an Order, replace Supplier authorisation or change the final Approved Order Record without the normal acceptance process.

Do not represent generated regulatory advice, certificates or testing conclusions as verified professional work. A recommendation is not an undisclosed procurement approval. Material account, claim or payment decisions remain reviewable through the grievance process as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Synthetic audio, images and video

Do not create or share synthetic content that unlawfully impersonates a person, fabricates an endorsement or real-world event, misrepresents a factory or product test, exploits a child, invades privacy or facilitates another unlawful act. A request to generate the material can itself breach the rules even if publication has not occurred.

Where the operative IT Rules on synthetically generated information apply, Burbn must implement the reasonable and appropriate technical measures, user information, labelling and provenance duties required for its actual role and feature. Those duties cannot be transferred entirely to the uploader through this Notice.

Qualifying lawful synthetic visual material must carry the prominent, readily noticeable disclosure required by law; qualifying audio must use the required prominently prefixed audio disclosure. Required permanent metadata or other suitable provenance, including a relevant identifier, must be applied to the extent technically feasible under the operative rules. Users must not intentionally strip required labels or provenance to deceive others.

The statutory definition has limits and exceptions, including relevant routine or good-faith editing that does not materially distort the underlying meaning. Ordinary correction is not automatically equivalent to a deceptive deepfake. Even where a statutory synthetic-content label is not required, a product illustration must not mislead about the actual goods.

Additional duties applying specifically to a significant social media intermediary depend on the legal classification and facts. This Notice does not claim Burbn B2B has that status. Unlawful synthetic activity may result in account action and applicable civil or criminal consequences under law, with reporting where required.

9. Voice, likeness and commercial use

Creating or using an identifiable voice clone, synthetic presenter or likeness requires the person's appropriate authority and a lawful basis, including the defined purpose and use. Do not use another person's identity to obtain payment, approve an Order, create a testimonial or simulate their signature or business authority.

Commercial reuse must respect the applicable licence, campaign permission and disclosure requirements. A creator's agreement to one recording does not automatically permit an unlimited series of synthetic performances. Rights in music, stock assets, trade marks and underlying materials also need to be addressed.

The Creator and Affiliate Policy applies to a separately accepted campaign. No ownership or unlimited exclusivity in an AI-generated output is guaranteed; applicable law, third-party rights and provider terms determine the available rights.

10. Private materials and model training

Private RFQs, drawings, bills of materials, identity evidence, private negotiations and confidential project media are not authorised for general-purpose model training merely because they are submitted for a feature.

An enabled processor must use such data within the instructed purpose and applicable contract. A separate proposed training use requires a defined lawful basis, sufficient rights, appropriate notice and any required affirmative consent. Refusal of an optional training use must not be treated as refusal of an unrelated transaction.

Do not send sensitive project information to a public or third-party tool through an integration unless the necessary disclosure, authority and safeguards are in place. A user's selection of an AI feature does not excuse Burbn from its own vendor and privacy obligations.

11. Retention and deletion

The feature-specific notice must state its actual retention approach for raw inputs, outputs, intermediate records and logs. Different purposes may require different periods. Do not promise deletion immediately after processing if the service stores the media for a later Order or claim.

You may remove material or request deletion through the available feature or privacy@scrolling.in, subject to applicable legal retention and justified evidence needs. Revoking device permission prevents further permitted access but does not automatically erase a file already uploaded. The Privacy Policy explains how retained transaction evidence and backups are handled.

Publicly shared media may have been lawfully received or copied by others. Burbn will address the copies and processing it controls according to its duties; it cannot guarantee deletion of every independently held copy. This limitation does not authorise continued promotional use after the relevant licence ends.

12. Children and prohibited sensitive uses

Burbn B2B is intended for adults. Do not create a child's business account, submit child identity data for supplier verification or use a child's likeness for an unauthorised or exploitative purpose. Any applicable child-data and consent requirements remain separate from ordinary feature permission.

Do not use the features to infer or expose another person's sensitive characteristics, undertake unlawful surveillance, create non-consensual intimate material or bypass an identity or product-safety check. Serious abuse may require immediate restriction, evidence preservation and a report to the competent authority.

13. Reporting errors, abuse and security concerns

Report a misleading output, unauthorised use of your likeness, a privacy concern or a suspected security issue to support@scrolling.in or privacy@scrolling.in. Include the relevant feature, content location, approximate time and a concise description. Do not reproduce harmful material unnecessarily.

Qualifying intimate imagery or electronic-impersonation complaints follow the urgent two-hour action route in the Grievance Policy where applicable. Other content, rights and security incidents follow their own legal categories and deadlines. An AI label does not remove the duty to address unlawful material.

14. Changes and contact

Before materially changing a feature's data use, provider, audience or retention, provide the relevant updated notice and obtain fresh consent where required. A change to an optional tool does not retrospectively alter an accepted Order.

For feature assistance, contact support@scrolling.in. For personal-data or permission questions, contact privacy@scrolling.in. Formal complaints and officer details appear in the Grievance Redressal and Contact Policy.
