Acceptable Use, Communications, Reviews and Moderation Policy
Effective date: From the first publication of this version on b2b.scrolling.in, subject to the notice and existing-Order protections in the Marketplace Terms.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to business accounts, public profiles, listings, RFQs, attachments, messages, reviews, promotional material and other activity on Burbn B2B. It applies when acting through staff, contractors, agents, integrations or automated tools. The Marketplace Terms identify the operator and the common contractual framework.
Where a feature is not offered, this Policy does not create that feature. Rights in content, personal-data handling and regulated goods are also governed by their respective policies. Lawful commercial criticism, a disputed purchase or a good-faith complaint is not prohibited merely because it is unwelcome to another party.
2. Authentic identity and business authority
Use the correct business identity and disclose your actual role. Do not impersonate Burbn personnel, another Supplier, a regulator, a testing laboratory, a brand owner or a Buyer. Do not create fictitious factories, qualifications, offices, trade history, staff or registration documents.
Only use an account or organisation name with authority. Multiple accounts must not be used to evade a restriction, hide connected parties, manufacture review activity or obtain duplicate promotions. A legitimate group of businesses may maintain separate accounts where its relationships and transactional roles are accurately represented.
A change to payment instructions, account ownership or a Supplier's legal identity must follow the verification process. An account name is not proof that the named person owns a bank account or that a transaction is protected.
3. Accurate listings and offers
Listings and quotations must accurately describe the goods offered, their material specifications, quantity units, minimum orders, price tiers, origin where relevant, condition, availability and delivery basis. Disclose used, refurbished, repaired, seconds, sample or demonstration goods clearly.
Do not use fabricated discounts, false stock urgency, misleading comparisons, hidden compulsory charges, deceptive shipping claims or unsupported “guaranteed”, “certified” or “official” descriptions. A low unit price must not conceal an undisclosed pack size or minimum purchase. A photograph of a premium variant must not suggest that the cheapest variant has the same features.
Images may be edited for clarity, but must not falsify colour, material, accessories, scale, test results or an item's condition. Label illustrative renders, prototypes and materially synthetic depictions as appropriate. The final accepted specification controls what is to be supplied; misleading advertising may also have legal consequences.
4. Unlawful and harmful content
Do not host, upload, publish, transmit, share or otherwise use the Platform for material that:
- Belongs to another person without an appropriate right, infringes intellectual property or discloses confidential information without authority.
- Is obscene, exploitative, unlawfully sexual, abusive towards children, or includes non-consensual intimate imagery or sexual impersonation.
- Threatens violence, facilitates serious wrongdoing, incites unlawful discrimination or hatred, or unlawfully harasses another person.
- Invades privacy, exposes private contact, financial, identity or health information, or encourages doxxing or stalking.
- Knowingly deceives people about its origin or authenticity, impersonates another person, or spreads materially false information in a manner prohibited by law.
- Contains malware, destructive code, credential theft, malicious links or another interference with lawful system access.
- Threatens interests protected by applicable Indian law, obstructs an investigation, violates a lawful order or otherwise breaches applicable law.
The categories are applied according to the actual content and applicable law. Reporting a harmful claim, providing evidence privately to an authorised investigator or discussing a lawful safety issue is assessed in context. Users must not publicly reproduce exploitative material merely to report it; provide the location and relevant details through the urgent complaint route.
5. Respectful commercial communications
Communicate professionally about specifications, price, delivery and remedies. Do not threaten violence, intimidate a complainant, expose private details, use discriminatory abuse or make demands unrelated to a genuine commercial entitlement.
Firm negotiation, rejection of an offer, a documented negative review or notice of a lawful claim is allowed. Do not use threats of false reviews, fabricated legal reports or disclosure of private documents to obtain money or a concession.
Do not send bulk unsolicited RFQs, duplicate advertisements or unrelated messages. Use contact details obtained for an inquiry only for that purpose and other uses lawfully agreed. A business telephone number does not itself authorise promotional messaging, addition to groups or sale of the contact to another business.
6. Fraud, payments and improper influence
Do not divert a protected payment to an unapproved personal account or misrepresent an outside transfer as covered by Burbn Buyer Protection. Never request another person's banking password, payment OTP or card security code through the Platform.
Prohibited conduct includes false invoices, fabricated proof of dispatch, collusive claims, substituted returns, deliberate non-delivery, counterfeit payment confirmations, unauthorised credit applications, money laundering, tax or customs evasion and bribery.
Do not offer an undisclosed kickback to a procurement employee, inspector or Burbn representative to secure a decision. Lawful, properly disclosed discounts and commissions must be documented and approved by the relevant business. A disclosed commercial commission is not automatically an improper payment; its purpose and applicable law matter.
7. Confidential RFQs and competing businesses
Use confidential specifications, samples, drawings and negotiated prices only for the authorised project. Do not circulate one Buyer's private RFQ to unrelated businesses, sell it as a lead, copy a protected design into a public listing or use it for general-purpose AI training without separate authority and a lawful basis.
Do not use the Platform to coordinate unlawful price fixing, bid rigging, market allocation or other anti-competitive conduct. Independent businesses remain free to set their own prices and decline a transaction. Legitimate joint procurement or authorised agency must comply with applicable competition and contracting law.
8. Reviews and ratings, where available
A review must reflect a genuine relevant experience. State facts honestly and distinguish opinion from an allegation of fact. Do not create fake reviews, buy undisclosed endorsements, review your own business as an independent customer, or organise a campaign of fabricated reviews against a competitor.
An incentive, free sample, employment relationship, ownership interest or other material connection must be clearly disclosed. A reward must not depend on a positive rating or removal of a supported complaint. A Supplier must not condition a refund, warranty or protection payment on a favourable review.
A “verified purchase” label means only the specific transaction relationship that Burbn has verified and explains. It does not certify every statement in a review or guarantee the reviewer's independence. If no such verification is performed, the label must not be used.
9. Review publication and correction
Relevant negative feedback should be subject to the same rules as positive feedback. Paid placement must not secretly determine which genuine reviews are visible. Any displayed rating summary should explain material filters or exclusions where needed to avoid misleading users.
Do not include identity documents, complete addresses, private bank details, unrelated employee information or confidential technical attachments in a public review. A Supplier response must also respect privacy and confidentiality.
Burbn may remove, redact, label or restrict a review that breaches this Policy, correct a demonstrable technical attribution error or ask for supporting context. It should not rewrite a user's opinion to make it favourable. If a reviewer edits the content, material edit history may be retained for dispute and integrity purposes under the Privacy Policy.
10. Automated access, scraping and security
Use integrations only with the rights, credentials and scope provided. Do not bypass authentication, access another user's data, scrape non-public account information, defeat reasonable rate limits, introduce malware or overwhelm the service. Unauthorised use of a third party's credentials is prohibited even if the API accepts them.
Contact support@scrolling.in before security testing that could affect live systems or other users. A report should describe the affected location, limited evidence and steps needed to understand the issue without exposing unrelated personal data. This Policy does not create a bug-bounty reward or broad permission to test.
Ordinary use of accessibility tools, a browser's built-in functions or a separately authorised business integration is not prohibited merely because it is automated. Any restriction must be applied consistently with applicable law and the scope of authorisation.
11. AI-assisted and synthetic material
You remain responsible for an AI-assisted listing, message or quotation that you submit. Check technical claims, translations, numerical units, certificates, images and references before relying on them. A generated description cannot certify that a product passed a test.
Do not create a false buyer testimonial, fake factory inspection, invented demonstration, forged certificate, unauthorised voice clone or deceptive depiction of an identifiable person. Preserve required labels and provenance. The Camera, Media and AI Notice explains additional rules when relevant tools or media features are offered.
12. Reporting and evidence
Report content or conduct through support@scrolling.in or grievance@scrolling.in. Supply the relevant URL, listing or account identifier, a brief description, the grounds of the complaint and available non-sensitive evidence. An affected person need not create a purchasing account just to report abuse of their privacy or identity.
Urgent complaints involving intimate imagery, impersonation, child exploitation, credible threats or active account compromise receive the applicable urgent route. The Grievance Policy sets the statutory categories and time limits. Selecting an inaccurate category does not justify ignoring an evident urgent risk.
Reports must be made honestly. A complaint that is not upheld is not automatically malicious. A knowingly false report, forged ownership document or coordinated misuse of the reporting process may itself lead to proportionate action.
13. How moderation decisions are made
Burbn may use user reports, staff review and proportionate automated signals to identify issues. Relevant considerations include the content, surrounding facts, reliability of evidence, potential harm, legal obligations, seriousness of a breach and prior supported incidents. Automated flags should not be treated as conclusive proof of fraud.
Available actions include seeking clarification, correcting a listing, removing or restricting specific material, pausing promotion, limiting functions, requiring corrective action, suspending an account or ending access. Urgent action may occur before notice where necessary to prevent harm, preserve evidence or obey law.
Where permitted, the affected user will receive the reason, scope, relevant policy basis and review route. Burbn need not disclose a complainant's private identity, security-sensitive detection methods or information that law prohibits it from sharing. Any retention or disclosure of removed material must have a lawful basis.
14. Payments, appeals and reinstatement
Moderation is not automatic forfeiture of earned money. A payment hold or deduction requires the separate basis in the Payments Policy. Existing delivery, refund and privacy obligations survive an account restriction.
A user may request internal review within 30 calendar days of an enforcement decision, identifying the error or corrective evidence. Where practicable, a different reviewer will assess it. Statutory complaint and appeal rights are preserved; a short internal window does not replace a longer legal limitation period or delay an urgent complaint.
Reinstatement may require verified correction, account security measures or another proportionate condition. It does not require payment of an undisclosed penalty or removal of a lawful complaint. The decision, relevant evidence and corrective steps will be recorded for a proportionate period under the Privacy Policy.
15. Related rules and contact
Product restrictions and recall duties appear in the Prohibited Products and Product Safety Policy. Rights-holder complaints follow the Intellectual Property Policy. Formal escalation and time limits appear in the Grievance Redressal and Contact Policy.
Material changes follow the notice and prospective application rules in the Marketplace Terms. The Policy does not remove a mandatory right, lawful defence or statutory forum.
